Abby Child Safety Standards

Effective Date: May 2026. Applies To: Abby mobile app, website, user guide, community guidelines, support systems, moderation systems, and all related services operated by The Unique Dating Company.

1. Our Commitment to Child Safety

Abby is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and adult-only platform. Abby is designed for adults seeking intentional dating and matchmaking experiences. Children and minors are not permitted to create accounts, use the platform, participate in interviews, appear as users, or engage with Abby's dating or matchmaking services.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any behavior that exploits, endangers, sexualizes, targets, or harms a minor.

These Child Safety Standards explain Abby's rules, prohibited conduct, reporting tools, review process, enforcement actions, and cooperation with appropriate authorities.

2. Adults-Only Platform

Abby is strictly for users who are 21 years of age or older.

By creating an Abby account, using Abby, participating in Abby's onboarding process, communicating with other users, or accessing Abby's matchmaking services, each user confirms that they are at least 21 years old.

Users may not:

  • Create an account if they are under 21 years old
  • Use Abby on behalf of a minor
  • Help a minor access Abby
  • Misrepresent their age
  • Upload photos of themselves as a minor in a way that creates confusion about their current age
  • Create fake profiles using the name, likeness, image, or identity of a minor
  • Invite, recruit, or encourage minors to use Abby
  • Communicate with minors through Abby for dating, romantic, sexual, exploitative, or inappropriate purposes

If Abby learns that a user is under 21 or has misrepresented their age, Abby may immediately suspend or terminate the account and take any additional action required by law or platform policy.

3. Definitions

For purposes of these Child Safety Standards:

Minor means any person under the age of 21.

Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, or CSAE, means any content, conduct, communication, attempted conduct, or activity that sexually exploits, abuses, endangers, grooms, coerces, manipulates, traffics, extorts, sexualizes, or otherwise harms a minor.

Child Sexual Abuse Material, or CSAM, means any visual, written, digital, computer-generated, AI-generated, altered, edited, illustrated, animated, or realistic depiction involving a minor in sexually explicit, sexually suggestive, exploitative, abusive, or inappropriate conduct.

Grooming means building trust, emotional dependence, secrecy, romantic interest, sexual interest, or control over a minor for exploitative, sexual, coercive, trafficking, abusive, or harmful purposes.

Sextortion means threatening, pressuring, coercing, blackmailing, manipulating, or extorting a person, including a minor, using sexual images, intimate content, personal information, threats, embarrassment, money demands, relationship pressure, or other forms of control.

Trafficking or exploitation includes any attempt to recruit, transport, advertise, solicit, exchange, facilitate, profit from, or coordinate sexual exploitation or abuse of a minor.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Abby strictly prohibits all content, behavior, attempts, or communications involving child sexual abuse or exploitation.

Users may not upload, share, request, discuss, promote, encourage, facilitate, or attempt to obtain:

  • CSAM
  • Sexual content involving minors
  • Nude, partially nude, sexually suggestive, or exploitative images of minors
  • AI-generated, edited, altered, animated, illustrated, or synthetic sexual content involving minors
  • Sexualized roleplay involving minors
  • “Barely legal,” “young-looking,” school-age, childlike, or minor-coded sexual content
  • Content that appears to depict a minor in a sexual or exploitative context
  • Content that sexualizes children, childhood, school uniforms, youth status, dependency, coercion, or age imbalance
  • Grooming conversations
  • Sextortion attempts
  • Human trafficking activity
  • Attempts to move a minor to another platform for inappropriate contact
  • Requests for private images, intimate content, meetings, secrecy, or sexual communication involving a minor
  • Any attempt to evade age restrictions or safety systems

Abby also prohibits jokes, coded language, memes, fantasy content, fictional content, roleplay, or “just kidding” statements that promote, normalize, minimize, or solicit child sexual abuse or exploitation.

5. Prohibited Profile Content

Users may not include the following in Abby profiles, photos, prompts, messages, bios, usernames, or interview responses:

  • Photos of minors alone
  • Photos of minors in swimwear, underwear, sleepwear, bathing situations, changing situations, medical situations, or other sensitive contexts
  • Photos that make a minor identifiable without appropriate reason
  • Content that suggests a minor is available for dating, matchmaking, romantic contact, sexual contact, or adult social activity
  • Statements implying interest in minors
  • Age-misrepresentation language
  • References to illegal sexual activity involving minors
  • Links, handles, QR codes, encrypted chat invitations, or external profiles used to facilitate contact involving minors
  • Any content that appears to exploit, sexualize, endanger, or expose a minor

Because Abby is an adult dating and matchmaking platform, users should avoid including children in profile images whenever possible. If a user includes a family photo, Abby may require the image to be cropped, blurred, replaced, or removed to protect the privacy and safety of minors.

6. Age Verification and Age Integrity

Abby may use account information, onboarding questions, profile review, user reports, automated signals, manual review, identity verification tools, or third-party verification vendors to help detect underage users or age misrepresentation.

Abby may request additional information if there is a reasonable concern that a user is under 21 or misrepresenting their age.

Abby may suspend access while age review is pending.

A user who refuses to complete age review, provides false information, submits misleading photos, or attempts to bypass age safeguards may be removed from the platform.

7. User Reporting

Users can report child-safety concerns directly inside Abby.

Users should report:

  • A suspected underage user
  • A profile that may belong to a minor
  • A user who says they are under 21
  • A user who appears to be misrepresenting age
  • Any content involving possible CSAM
  • Any grooming, coercion, sextortion, trafficking, or exploitation concern
  • Any user attempting to discuss minors sexually
  • Any user attempting to move a conversation off-platform for suspicious or exploitative reasons
  • Any profile, photo, message, interview answer, or behavior that may endanger a minor

Reports may be submitted through:

For urgent safety issues, users should contact local emergency services or law enforcement.

8. How Abby Reviews Child-Safety Reports

When Abby receives a child-safety report, Abby may take one or more of the following steps:

  • Prioritize the report for safety review
  • Temporarily restrict the reported account
  • Preserve relevant account information as appropriate
  • Review profile content, messages, interview responses, photos, account metadata, and user reports
  • Remove prohibited content
  • Suspend or terminate the account
  • Block the user from creating new accounts
  • Escalate the matter to Abby's Trust & Safety team
  • Report apparent CSAM or child exploitation to appropriate authorities where required
  • Cooperate with lawful law-enforcement requests
  • Notify app stores or platform partners when required
  • Take additional action consistent with Abby's Terms, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and applicable law

Abby aims to acknowledge child-safety reports within 24 hours and to act on confirmed CSAE reports immediately upon verification.

Abby may not disclose all details of an investigation to the reporting user, the reported user, or the public, especially when doing so could compromise safety, privacy, law enforcement, or platform integrity.

9. CSAM Handling Policy

Abby prohibits CSAM in any form.

If Abby becomes aware of apparent CSAM or suspected child sexual exploitation on its platform, Abby may:

  • Remove or restrict access to the content
  • Suspend or terminate involved accounts
  • Preserve relevant information as required or permitted by law
  • Escalate the matter internally to authorized safety personnel
  • Report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A
  • Submit reports to the appropriate legal reporting channels where required
  • Cooperate with law enforcement and child-safety organizations where applicable

Records and content related to reported CSAE incidents are preserved for the period required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and any other applicable retention obligation.

Abby personnel, contractors, vendors, and reviewers are not permitted to download, distribute, save, share, copy, forward, or store suspected CSAM outside approved safety workflows.

Access to suspected CSAM or child-exploitation reports is limited to authorized personnel who need access to perform safety, legal, compliance, or reporting functions.

10. Artificial Intelligence and Synthetic Content

Abby prohibits AI-generated, computer-generated, altered, deepfake, illustrated, animated, or synthetic sexual content involving minors.

This includes content that:

  • Depicts or appears to depict a minor sexually
  • Uses an adult's face or body to create minor-coded sexual content
  • Uses a childlike appearance, school-age context, or youth-coded presentation in a sexual way
  • Alters a real minor's image
  • Creates fictional or imaginary minors in sexual contexts
  • Uses AI tools to generate, request, describe, or exchange exploitative child sexual content

Users may not use Abby's systems, messages, prompts, interviews, or support channels to create, request, describe, trade, or facilitate such content.

11. Off-Platform Conduct

Abby may take action when off-platform behavior creates a child-safety risk or violates Abby's standards.

This includes:

  • Using Abby to identify, contact, groom, recruit, exploit, or target minors off-platform
  • Moving conversations to text, social media, encrypted apps, payment apps, or other platforms to avoid moderation
  • Sharing external links to exploitative content
  • Attempting to use Abby matches, events, referrals, or communities to access minors
  • Conduct outside Abby that indicates a user may pose a safety risk to minors or other users

Abby may suspend or remove users based on credible reports, law-enforcement information, platform signals, user evidence, or other safety-related information.

12. Events, Ambassadors, and Offline Activities

If Abby hosts events, launch activations, interviews, mixers, ambassador programs, or community activities, all such activities must remain adult-only unless otherwise expressly approved in writing by Abby leadership for a non-dating, non-matchmaking, non-user event.

For Abby dating or matchmaking events:

  • Attendees must be 21 or older
  • Age checks may be required
  • Minors may not participate
  • Users may not bring minors to adult dating events
  • Event staff must escalate suspected underage attendance
  • Any child-safety concern must be reported immediately to Abby's Trust & Safety contact

Ambassadors, contractors, creators, event hosts, interviewers, and launch personnel must follow Abby's Child Safety Standards.

13. User Privacy and Minor Privacy

Abby takes the privacy of minors seriously.

Users may not post, upload, share, or disclose a minor's:

  • Full name
  • School
  • Address
  • Location
  • Contact information
  • Social media handle
  • Medical information
  • Private family details
  • Photos or videos in sensitive contexts
  • Any information that could expose the minor to unwanted contact or risk

Because Abby is an adult platform, users should not use Abby to share details about children except where limited, lawful, non-sensitive, and appropriate.

Abby may remove content involving minors even when the content is not sexual if Abby believes the content creates a privacy, safety, or platform-integrity concern.

14. Safety Enforcement

Violation of these Child Safety Standards may result in:

  • Content removal
  • Warning
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account termination
  • Device, email, phone, or payment blocking
  • Removal from events or programs
  • Termination of ambassador, contractor, creator, or partner relationships
  • Referral to law enforcement
  • Reports to child-safety authorities where required
  • Other action permitted by Abby's Terms, policies, and applicable law

Severe violations, including CSAM, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or attempted exploitation of a minor, may result in immediate permanent removal without prior warning.

15. False Reports and Misuse of Safety Tools

Abby encourages good-faith reporting.

Users may not knowingly submit false child-safety reports, fabricate evidence, impersonate minors, manipulate screenshots, weaponize safety tools, or make malicious accusations.

However, Abby will not penalize users for making a report in good faith, even if the report cannot be confirmed.

16. Internal Safety Controls

Abby may use a combination of automated tools, manual review, user reports, trained personnel, and escalation workflows to support child safety.

Internal controls may include:

  • Age-gate review
  • Profile review
  • Photo review
  • Keyword and behavioral risk signals
  • User-report prioritization
  • Moderator escalation
  • Restricted access to sensitive reports
  • Audit trails for safety actions
  • Preservation workflows
  • Staff training
  • Vendor controls
  • Law-enforcement response procedures
  • Periodic policy review

Abby's safety systems may evolve over time as risks, laws, app-store requirements, and best practices change.

17. Staff, Contractor, and Vendor Obligations

Any Abby employee, contractor, vendor, ambassador, moderator, interviewer, creator, or partner who becomes aware of a child-safety concern must report it immediately through Abby's approved internal escalation process.

No Abby representative may:

  • Ignore a child-safety report
  • Handle suspected CSAM outside approved workflows
  • Save suspected CSAM to personal devices
  • Share suspected CSAM with unauthorized persons
  • Discuss sensitive child-safety matters publicly
  • Contact an alleged minor or alleged offender outside approved procedures
  • Make unauthorized promises to users, families, law enforcement, press, or third parties

Violation of these obligations may result in termination of employment, contract, partnership, or access.

18. Cooperation With Authorities

Abby may cooperate with law enforcement, child-safety organizations, app stores, regulators, and other authorized entities where required or permitted by law.

Where Abby becomes aware of apparent CSAM or child sexual exploitation, Abby may preserve and report relevant information through appropriate legal channels.

Abby may also respond to valid legal requests, emergency requests, subpoenas, warrants, preservation requests, or other lawful processes.
