Delete Your Account & Data
For the Abby AI Matchmaker app, operated by The Unique Dating Company, LLC (d/b/a My AI Matchmaker).
You can permanently delete your Abby account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to request deletion — choose whichever is easier for you. If you no longer have the app installed, use the email method below; you do not need to reinstall the app to request deletion.
Option 1 — In the app (fastest)
- Open the Abby app and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Choose a reason, then confirm by tapping Delete My Account.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2 — Request by email
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us from the address registered to your account:
app@myaimatchmaker.aiUse the subject line “Delete my account and data.” We verify the request against your registered email and complete deletion within 30 days (usually much sooner).
What is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove or irreversibly anonymize:
- Your profile and onboarding answers (including sensitive attributes such as orientation, ethnicity, and beliefs used for matching).
- Your display name, bio, and other profile details (scrubbed and replaced with “Deleted User”).
- Your photos — removed from our database and from cloud storage.
- Your matches — closed and expired so you no longer appear to other users.
- Your sign-in credentials — your login is deleted from our authentication system.
- Your email address and phone number — removed from your account record.
What we retain, and for how long
We may retain a limited amount of de-identified data for a short period for security, fraud prevention, account-recovery, and legal-compliance purposes. Specifically:
- De-identified account record & deletion audit logs: retained for up to 90 days after deletion to support account recovery and to meet legal obligations, then purged.
- Identity-verification document images (if you completed verification): retained encrypted for no more than 30 days, then deleted.
- Biometric data: handled and destroyed per our Biometric Data Retention & Destruction Policy.
- Records required by law (e.g., financial or compliance records): retained only as long as legally required, up to a maximum of 3 years for sensitive personal information.
